[Nashville, TN] — January 8, 2024: Shake ‘Em Up Music, an independent music publishing company, is celebrating 25 years of service in the publishing community.

Shake ‘Em Up Music has played a vital role in serving the music community and has been unwavering in its commitment to championing the work of talented artists, songwriters, and composers since its inception in 1999. From discovering emerging singer/songwriters to providing steadfast support for established artists, the company has consistently demonstrated dedication and devotion to its clients and to the industry of music.

Shar'n Clark, Founder/CEO, reflects on the milestone: "As we commemorate 25 years in the music industry, we reflect with immense pride on the incredible journey shared with our artists and collaborators. “Anyone working in the music industry is living the dream. The dream of creation.  The dream of changing people’s lives with music.  We are grateful to be representing these talented artists and songwriters for a quarter of century.  It’s been a challenging time for songwriters and content creators --full of changes in technology and distribution channels-- and we look forward to collaborating with and promoting the exceptional talent of our roster as we move into the future.”

“Shar’n has always proven to be a wealth of information for me and my business. She is responsive in a timely fashion, professional and always with a smile while helping with my publishing needs.” comments Debbie Zavitson, Owner/Debbie Z Entertainment of Shake’Em Up Music.

As the owner of Shake 'Em Up Music, Shar'n has represented songwriters whose work has been covered by major label artists, including Reba, Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, John Michael Montgomery, The Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Wariner and more. Her work in film and television is also notable, working closely with music supervisors, resulting in multiple sync placements in the realms of film, television and advertising.

A graduate of Belmont University, she initially joined a small independent label, followed by a role as Vice President at a boutique publishing/artist production company. Recognizing her passion for working with  singer/songwriters and artists, Shar'n founded Shake 'Em Up Music in 1999.

She is the editor of the upcoming book, "The Songwriter’s Guide to Protecting Your Songs and Collecting Your Money."
