CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF MUSICAL COMMITMENT: SHAKE 'EM UP MUSIC MARKS A MILESTONE



[Nashville, TN] — January 8, 2024: Shake ‘Em Up Music, an independent music publishing company, is celebrating 25 years of service in the publishing community. 


Shake ‘Em Up Music has played a vital role in serving the music community and has been unwavering in its commitment to championing the work of talented artists, songwriters, and composers since its inception in 1999. From discovering emerging singer/songwriters to providing steadfast support for established artists, the company has consistently demonstrated dedication and devotion to its clients and to the industry of music. 


Shar'n Clark, Founder/CEO, reflects on the milestone: "As we commemorate 25 years in the music industry, we reflect with immense pride on the incredible journey shared with our artists and collaborators. During her tenure at Shake 'Em Up Music, Clark has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including The Bellamy Brothers, Ronnie Milsap, Rockie Lynne, Mitchell Tenpenny, John Byron, Todd Snider, David Kent, Dani Kerr, Mark Prentice, David Alex Barton, Sam Ness, Richard Barrett, Tom Manning, Allen Sostrin, New West Records, Bobby Wood, and many others, serving in various capacities.


Another highlight is Shar’n Clark’s work as a clearance consultant for documentary films such as "For The Love Of Country: The Story of Nashville" and "It All Begins With A Song: The Story of the Nashville Songwriter" for the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, as well as the upcoming feature film release, "Rockie Lynne: Where I Belong."

The company has represented placements of songs with artists such as George Strait, Reba, John Michael Montgomery, Sara Evans, Blake Shelton, Rockie Lynne, The Oak Ridge Boys, Wild Feathers, Nu-Blu, and various other projects.


In addition to its artist representations, Shake 'Em Up Music has contributed songs to television shows such as “Criminal Minds”, Amazon Prime’s “Jack Ryan,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “Don't Forget The Lyrics,” “Operation Build,” “Good Morning America,” Fox Sports, CMT's “Cowboy U,” and numerous tracks featured on “America's Got Talent.”

 

 

ABOUT THE FOUNDER:

As the owner of Shake 'Em Up Music, Shar'n has represented songwriters whose work has been covered by major label artists, including Reba, Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, John Michael Montgomery, The Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Wariner and more. Her work in film and television is also notable, working closely with music supervisors, resulting in multiple sync placements in the realms of film, television and advertising.


A graduate of Belmont University, she initially joined a small independent label, followed by a role as Vice President at a boutique publishing/artist production company. Recognizing her passion for working with  singer/songwriters and artists, Shar'n founded Shake 'Em Up Music in 1999.


She is the editor of the upcoming book, "The Songwriter’s Guide to Protecting Your Songs and Collecting Your Money."

In addition to her professional endeavors, Shar'n spends much of her time in service of others.  She holds the volunteer position of Vice Chair at the national organization Tribute To The Troops. Established in 2004 by national recording artist Rockie Lynne, this organization is devoted to honoring, treasuring, and remembering Gold Star families and fallen heroes.
